Phantom of the Opera

Our day today was spent walking around the Les Puces flea market trying to find some adorable vintage knick knacks. There are hundreds of little sheds and buildings crammed FULL of random odds and ends. It's basically a bunch of ancient hoarders who make money off of their life of collecting. There are things from books, postcards, vintage silverware sets, watches, jewelry and keys. There was a shop full of doll parts, clock pieces, and empty wine boxes. The possibility of finds here are endless! Next we took the metro to the Palais Garnier opera house. We plan on touring the building in a couple of weeks when Amanda's mom and sister come out to visit, but we couldn't wait to get a preview. Right across the street from the opera, there is the most luxurious mall I have ever seen in my life. Amanda and I toured all four levels and managed to escape with only a couple of adorable nail polishes we got out of a vending machine... yes, they sell nail polish in vending machines out here. After a day full of very few purchases, and a lot of walking around we decided it was time to head back home. Unfortunately, we got very few pictures. Don't worry, we've still got 64 more days to make up for it! Tomorrow is our first day of work at the cake shop, wish us luck!
