Le Coupe Chou

Amanda and I made dinner reservations at the beginning of the week to go to Le Coupe Chou and we couldn't WAIT for Saturday night to come! We got all dressed up and went out for some really awesome food and a cozy dining experience. After walking through those adorable ivy covered doors, the restaurant winds back through 3 or 4 different dimly lit rooms. The decor inside is rustic and elegant with a fireplace in almost every room. Each dining area is lit with adorable lamps and all the servers here are VERY friendly (which is a really nice change from most of Paris). I ordered the pork filet with mustard sauce and potatoes gratin. The sauce was INCREDIBLE! Amanda got the most tender beef bourguignon I've ever had (We both had to agree that it's better here than at Cafe Constant). We ordered creme brûlée and chocolate mousse for dessert. The brûlée was shallow enough that all you tasted was the brûléed sugar on top, and the chocolate mousse was really dry. Overall, the experience was probably 3.5 out of 5 stars... Good enough that Amanda made reservations to come back with her husband! It was a really fun night.
